In Miyagi, which includes the largest city in Touhoku region, Sendai city, there is Matsushima Bay, one of the Three Views of Japan. There is Zuigan-ji that is designated as national treasure in Matsushima. Also, they produce many foods such as rice called "Hitomebore", with the leading catch in fishing industry, bonito, sanma, tuna, and many other special products, oyster, sea squirt, and shark fin. In the field of livestock industry, they are known to produce high quality beef, Sendai beef. This Sendai beef is the highest grade beef that must be ranked 5 in Japan. Also "Gyu-Tan Beef" and "Zunda mochi" is very delicious.
