Chubu Region locates center of Honshu Island. Prefectures in this region are Niigata, Toyama, Ishikawa, Fukui, Yamanashi, Nagano, Gifu, Shizuoka, and Aichi. Furthermore, Chubu can separate into three areas north to south. Hokuriku is northern area, Kou-sin-etsu is mountain range area in the middle, and Toukai takes southern part. Chubu is famous for affluent natures such as Mount Fuji and Japan Alps. Also many hot springs are scattered in this region. A highway, post town and castle town from back in history remains in here, and cities like Takayama and Kanazawa are the great sights. Chubu region was main stage back in Sengoku period (Civil war period), and therefore, there are many historical spots.
