Ishite-ji, Ooyama-dera, and Daihou-ji is designated as the national treasure. Since Ishiteji is close to Dougo Onsen (hot spring), many tourists visit here. This Dougo Onsen is one of the oldest hot springs in Japan. Along with Matsushima-jo that is famous for its sakura, there are many castles such as Uwajima-jo and Imabari-jo. Matsuyama Matsuri is held, which is the 4 Great Festival in Shikoku region. "Tai meshi" is the local food.
