Gunma is known for its hot spring and there are Kusatsu, Shima, Ikaho, and Minakami that are the four big hot spring resorts. Also the Oze National Park that stretch over Gunma, Fukushima, Niigata, and Tochigi lies about half of it over Gunma. Oze is the Japan's largest mountainous swanp where many flowers blooms depending on the season. The song sung in elementary school "Natsu no omoide (Summer memories)" is a song that is about this beautiful Oze. As local food, there is "okkirikomi" which the vegetables in season and noodles are being cooked together is known.
