Hiroshima is the most prospered place in Chugoku, Shikoku region. There are 2 UNESCO World Heritage Site; one is Atomic Bomb Dome, which passes down the memory of damage caused by the atomic bomb. Another is Itsukushima Jinja, which was built on the seashore. Along with the Itsukushima Jinja, the Itsukushima (island) is also called as Miyajima and is one of the 3 Views of Japan. The local food is "kaki (oyster) no dote nabe" a type of pot with miso pasted around it.
