Nara

Nara is famous for its ancient city and has the most UNESCO World Heritage Site and national treasure among the prefectures. As the UNESCO World Heritage Site, there are Buddhist Monuments in the Hōryū-ji Area that has the oldest wooden building in the world, Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara, including the famous Todai-ji that has the huge statue of Daibutsu, and the Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range. A sushi wrapped around with persimmon leaf and Narazuke are famous local food.
