Osaka, which has the second largest population in Japan, has not only the modern buildings but also old one as well. The major tourist spot is "Osaka-jo (Osaka castle)", "Shitenno-ji", the first Buddhist temple ever built in Japan, and "Sumiyoshi Taisha", a popular place to go pay the first visit of the year. As modern places, there are Tsutenkaku and Universal Studio Japan. Tenjin Matsuri, Aizen Matsuri and Sumiyoshi Matsuri are known as the Osaka 3 Great Festivals and are very popular event to visit. Local food is "Osaka sushi".
