Tochigi, located in the northern part of the Kanto region, is one of the best tourist spot. Nasu kougen, located in the northern Tochigi, is a mountain town not only to avoid the summer heat but also enjoy the nature that changes its looks every season. Also, Tochigi is endowed with hot spring and due to the effect of Kawachi hot sping and Kinugawa hot spring is called "a wound at Kawachi, a burn at Kinugawa". The Nikko shrines and Shinto Temples, Nikko Tosho-gu, Rinno-ji, and Futarasan Shrine, are registered as the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Local foods are Kanpyo (dried gourd shavings), which has the 99% shares in Japan and "Shimotsukare".
