Tokushima is noted for its Awaodori. Awaodori (Awa Dance Festival) held in Tokushima city is famous to be the 3 Great Festival in Japan and there will be one million people visiting Tokushima during the 4 days it is held. The naruto whirlpool that becomes about 20 meter wide at most seen at Naruto Kaikyo, a strait between Awaji Island and Shikoku is popular tourist site. Naruto Kaikyo's current in the strait is the fastest in Japan and is counted as 3 Great Current in the world. "Bouze no Sugata suchi" is famous local food. Bouze is Japanese butterfish.
