Tottori has the least population in Japan. There is Japan's largest sandhill, Tottori Sakyu. The national treasure Sanbutsu-ji, often called "Nageire-do", exists in a precipitous cliff, a very unique building. Also 6 locations are registered as Place of Scenic Beauty of Japan and especially the beauty of Uradome Kaigan (shore) is astonishing. "Igai meshi", rice cooked with mussel is the local food.
