Dagashi Stores
Dagashi can be purchased at many places in Japan including common supermarkets and convenience stores, but there are also a few dedicated dagashi stores or dagashiya around Japan. Convenience stores sell modern versions of classic dagashi like Toppo and Dars, but dagashiya sell the classic snacks that were popular during the 1950s and 1970s. Dagashiya are not as popular as they were in the 1960`s, but many adults like to visit dagashi shops because of the nostalgic feel that they have. Many dagashi businesses sell their products overseas and online now due to the limited amount of customers in Japan.
