Introduction:
Greetings! I am originally from the US and currently a second year graduate student living near Tokyo, Japan. I am an avid foodie and a lover of nature, all of which is wonderfully comprised in the colorfulness of Japan. Although my articles here focus mainly on the "Japanese take" on multicultural food, I am generally interested in international fusions and the rise of the global culture. I believe that traveling to various countries is not simply about seeing with the eyes or crossing places visited off a checklist, but a full-body experience that engages all the senses and imprints a lasting memory upon the soul.
Background:
Aside from attending graduate school at Sophia University, I received all of my education in the US (specifically in California, my home state). I decided to take part in JESTO's internship program to explore different mediums and find out what focal areas contribute greatly to the rising use of the worldwide web. In addition, I wanted to help readers outside of Japan get a sense of what to possibly expect if they decide to tour Japan or relocate here. I discovered Japantwo while I myself was preparing to leave the US for Japan and I must say, this website (especially the blog section!) has been a useful guide in preparing me for the wonders of this beautiful nation.
