BUCKLE KOBO
BUCKLE KOBO was opened with the success of fund raising by cloud funding called Motion Gallery. It is said that BUCKLE KOBO was a local development project with a concept of `Let`s make Ironwork in Keihin Isle, the last frontier of Tokyo, a Creative Hub`. Keihin Isle is located in the East of Ota-Ku, and its large area has been used for industrial purpose, a buckle studio, for a long time. The studio was a part of ironworks which was renovated, with high ceilings, attached to the factory managed by artists, without any problem processing using fire or making loud noise which are not allowed in the middle of the city. BUCKLE KOBO is planning to make a space where artists and craftsmen can stay and create on its second floor. There were products made by various artists in conjunction with different projects in the space on the second floor on the day of interview already and the studio has made a significant remark in the long history of manufacturing in Ota-Ku. The access to the factory is allowed for members by registering and pay monthly or annual usage fee. They offer some flexible usages for your needs like special usage packages and product preservation services, which make the place more attractive.
