This museum was established by JFA within its building JFA House as an exhibition facility in order to commemorate the 2002 FIFA World Cup. It is composed of three stories, 1st floor and 2 basements.

On the 1st floor, the Upper Stand, you can watch all the matches of the 2002 World Cup on a large-sized image device called "Virtual Stadium". You can also see historical goals that affected the Japanese football on "Monument of Goals", and check information about both Japanese and overseas football through the Internet in the "Information Corner".

In basement 1, the Lower Stand, you can enjoy yourself with "J. Club Display Booth" where you can check all the football clubs that belong to J-League, "TV Relay Monitor" on which you can watch live broadcasting matches, and "Japan Football Hall of Fame" praising those who contributed a lot to Japanese football. You can also check their stock of approximately 8000 books on football, and of approximately 6000 items such as trophies, balls, and uniforms. You may use the "Reference Room" (registration and purchase of a ticket needed).

In the 2nd basement, Pitch, you can enjoy yourself with exhibitions on the records made during the 2002 World Cup, trophies, explanations on top-class athletes' techniques using a special image device, and the reconstruction of the locker room of the Japan national team. Other displays include: exhibitions on the history of Japanese football, uniforms that were worn by the national team athletes, and trophies acquired.
