Established in 1935, Yoshida & Co.,Ltd. is a well-established Japanese bag company holding well-known brands including PORTER and LUGGAGE LABEL. Kichizo Yoshida,who founded Yoshida Kaban Seisakujo (later Yoshida & Co., Ltd.) at the age of 29,began his career in the bag making industry when he was only 12 years old.
Ever since then, it has been highly recognized as a company that continues its manufactures in Japan. It is also known for the contribution of bags which appear in the famous Kurosawa film, High and Low. In 1981, the chief director of the company at that time became the first Japanese member of the New York Designer's Collective, which is one of the reasons for Yoshida & Co., Ltd. being globally recognized for the introduction of incorporating modern skills into the traditional bag making. It has also been collaborating with many companies including those abroad, collecting many celebrities as their fans.
