Community and business development at Kawagoe
Kawagoe is a city that has been receiving attention as a tourist attraction close to Tokyo. As you walk through the main street that stretches right from the station, there you see a sweets shop. It is Kanmidokoro (confection shop) Kawagoe Akariya.
Kamikawakuchi-ya, the Oldest Dagashiya in Japan
Kamikawakuchiya is located inside of the Zoshigaya Kishimojindo Temple grounds. It has been in business for around 230 years since the opening in 1781 and is known as the oldest Dagashiya in Japan.
Hitoshinaya
A Japanese restaurant, which put value on "Wa" (harmony, relaxing), was opened in Tokyo Haneda airport, the gateway to Japan. This time we visited that Japanese restaurant called Hitoshinaya ("hitoshina" means one dish and "ya" means restaurant in this case).
